mind map

Mind maps can turn out to be very useful in many  ways, i.e. review sessions, remedial work, brainstorming and so on. I decided to structure this mind map so as to facilitate the topic we were studying. but I also decided to differentiate its use depending on the class. first I asked my students to produce a paragraph out of it (a sort of writing on notes). contrariwise, and in another class, I  employed it as a guided note taking practice task. I asked in fact the students to complete and implement the mind map while reading a commenting a text with them.

here is an example of a  paragraph written by a student (writing on notes).

The nuragic complex of Sant’Imbenia formed by the nuraghe and the village. The nuraghe had a square plane with large central tower called mastio and two smaller towers. It was dated 1400BC and the excavations started in the 80s. The archeologist found blocks of stone in the shape of T and a L used for build the top of the nuraghe.
The village was inhabited up to the bronze and iron age. It had theree tipes of huts: with niches, with hoards and with basin. In the village there were dwellings, temples and warehouses used by the people. Davide Canu IB
